When the iPod Touch announcement was made during Apple's iPhone 5 launch, the only information given about the iPod was that it would be released in October. Apple announced an update to its iPod Touch lineup that would include the same 4-inch screen as the iPhone 5.
Frankly, we’re surprised that Apple is taking this long to release the new devices. In the past, it was the iPod Touch and iPod Nano that got released before the new iPhone usually, but this time it’s exactly the other way around.
The new iPod Touch comes in six different colors and is available in 32GB or 64GB for $299 and $399, respectively. Upgrades include digital assistant Siri added to the iPod Touch, along with AirPlay.
The new iPod Touch has a larger screen but is slimmer, with a 6.1 mm thickness. It features an A5 processor and a camera that can shoot full 1080p HD video.
The new iPod Nano, priced at $149 with 16GB capacity, is "definitely not the same as the old Nano," according to TechCrunch. It is the thinnest iPod at 5.4 mm, made of mostly glass and aluminum.
